D&M Rail praises WBCG”s Wellness Services

Posted: 27 Aug 2019

“The quality and efficiency of the services provided by WBCG is something we greatly applaud”, says D&M Rail Managing Director, Mr. Dawie Moller about the employee wellness screening campaign recently conducted by the WBCG Wellness Services in Walvis Bay in July.

“The preliminary work was done in a very professional manner and the session was carried out successfully. We look forward to working with WBCG for the duration of our agreement”, Mr. Moller says of the first session of the Employee HIV/AIDS and Wellness Programme Implementation Agreement signed between the two entities in March this year, concluding in 2021.

According to WBCG Wellness Project Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Taapopi, the DMR employees were optimistic to participate in the wellness campaign. Management were the first to undergo the wellness screening process, and this set a great example to the team.

In addition to being screened, employees could receive risk reduction counselling and referrals to care and support services in cases where further medical assessments are required.

WBCG Project Manager, Mr. Edward Shivute says the campaign provides the company with the necessary qualitative and quantitative information to better inform strategic decision making processes. “It assists the company to implement sustainable health solutions for its employees”.

WBCG collaborates with the Ministry of Health and Social Services to provide a high quality employee wellness screening service to corporate entities. This platform facilitates and supports the effective implementation of employee wellness programmes in Namibia, through concerted efforts and shared resources within the private and public sectors. As a result, it reaches a wider range of traditionally and generally perceived high key affected audience within various sectors.
