Walvis Bay Corridor Group’s Wellness Project Manager, Edward Shivute has announced that SCANIA Namibia recently joined as its newest member.
Scania Namibia joins other transport sector members to become a member of the WBCG Wellness Service. The project was started in 2006 and has since its initiation serviced the transport industry and in particular, border communities and mobile populations where wellness plays a significant role.
“By partnering with Scania Namibia, we welcome a world leader in providing transport solutions and extensive product-related service offerings. We continue to pride ourselves on providing high impact employee wellness interventions that are designed to meet our customer’s needs”, says Shivute.
According to Jaco Zondagh, Sales Manager for Scania Namibia, the interaction with and feedback from WBCG has been phenomenal. “WBCG is an important entity in the logistics industry and their wellness programme is accessible and comprehensive for all their stakeholders”.
The membership agreement entails monthly wellness initiatives and measureable progress towards employee wellness goals for the Scania Namibia employees countrywide.
“Wellness is key to the importance we place on our biggest asset: people. Our employees are key to our success. A happy and healthy employee relates to a productive workplace that rewards good performance”, says Zondagh.
